About Vineyard Hive Honey Company
Sustainable beekeeping and hyper-local honey production in California's beautiful Tri-Valley.
Our Mission
We produce hyper-local honey and manage healthy honey bee colonies throughout the Tri-Valley and surrounding areas.
Because honey bees typically forage within one to two miles of their hive, each apiary produces honey that reflects the surrounding landscape.
- Single-site honey harvests that reflect the surrounding floral landscape
- Science-based, low-intervention colony care focused on bee health, stability, and calm behavior
- No synthetic pesticides — we prioritize natural forage and biological balance

Our Approach
Full-Service Management
We handle every aspect of apiary management — from hive installation and regular inspections to honey extraction and packaging. Our partners simply provide the land and enjoy the benefits.
Integrated Pest Management
We use organic acids and the latest technology in varroa mite treatments — never synthetic pesticides. Our IPM practices protect both the bees and the environment.
Professional Equipment
We use industry-standard Langstroth hives and maintain all equipment to the highest standards for bee health and honey quality.
Year-Round Care
Beekeeping is a year-round commitment. We conduct weekly inspections during peak season and regular check-ins throughout the year to ensure colony health and productivity.
The Tri-Valley
The Tri-Valley region offers an exceptional environment for honey production, with diverse flora and a Mediterranean climate ideal for healthy bee colonies.
Rich Floral Diversity
From the wildflowers of Pleasanton Ridge to the vineyards of Livermore Valley, our bees have access to a remarkable variety of nectar sources that create complex, nuanced honeys.
Ideal Climate
The region's Mediterranean climate — warm, dry summers and mild winters — provides excellent conditions for bee health and extended foraging seasons.
